Recognized by the Global RLI Awards for the second consecutive year, DeFacto remains committed to continuing its projects in the field of sustainability.
A GLOBAL RECOGNITION FOR SUSTAINABILITY
DeFacto was awarded the title by Retail & Leisure International, a global magazine highlighting impactful sustainability initiatives. Held in London, the Global RLI Awards celebrate innovative retail concepts worldwide. The award was received by DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş alongside the brand’s sustainability team.
DEFACTO’S VISION: NET ZERO EMISSIONS AND CLIMATE POSITIVE BY 2050
DeFacto adopts a sustainability-focused approach across all its operations, starting from the procurement of sustainable raw materials to designing eco-friendly products and ensuring sustainability throughout the delivery process. The company published its first Integrated Report in 2024, showcasing its holistic vision and future-oriented strategies. These include water-saving collections produced using the Wiser Wash technique and innovative vegan collections made from olive and tea leather.
DeFacto’s goals for 2030 include making 90% of its collections sustainable and reducing its carbon footprint by 55%. By 2050, the brand aims to achieve net zero emissions and transition to a climate-positive status, reaffirming its dedication to environmental sustainability and innovation.
