The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) acquired a minority stake in DeFacto with an investment of 1.1 billion TRY. DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş said, ‘This partnership is one of the most concrete indicators of DeFacto’s long-standing success on the path to globalization.

Operating in 93 countries across 5 continents, the global fashion brand DeFacto joined forces with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), one of the world’s leading financial institutions. The EBRD, established through a partnership of the European Union, the European Investment Bank, and 64 countries, acquired a minority stake in the company with an investment of 1.1 billion TRY, adding value to the brand with its vision of sustainable development during DeFacto’s globalization drive.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş stated that the investment by the EBRD is one of the most concrete indicators of the confidence in DeFacto and its growth potential. He said, ‘With the strength of this partnership, we will further accelerate the momentum of our international expansion, where we have already made significant strides, and we aim to be present in 180 countries by 2027.’
