Our Employees and Our Customers
DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş: We have taken steps to protect both our employees and our customers.
Amid ongoing economic fluctuations and rising inflation worldwide, fueled by the pandemic’s effects, countries are implementing various measures to mitigate these challenges. In our country, inflation continues to rise due to both domestic and international developments, causing concern among all segments of society, particularly employees and consumers. DeFacto, one of the leading brands taking measures to alleviate the impact of this process, protects its customers with price reductions while supporting its employees against inflation.
Believing in the importance of managing this process with unity and solidarity, DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş stated that they have adopted an approach to protect both their customers and employees. He explained, ‘We are managing this process with two key measures: one for our customers and the other for the 15,000-strong DeFacto family. We have reduced prices on 60% of our products. On the other hand, we are also supporting our employees by providing additional payments to their salaries.’
Economic developments remain the top agenda item worldwide and in our country. Factors such as production disruptions caused by the pandemic and supply failing to meet demand have pushed inflation in the U.S. to historic highs, while rising prices are challenging economies globally.
Addressing the issue, DeFacto CEO İhsan Ateş said, ‘Our country has always managed to overcome challenging times and emerge stronger from crises. During this period, all sectors have important responsibilities. At DeFacto, we will continue to focus on production and contribute to our economy. Every year, we sell over 130 million products across 30,000 different varieties. We have reduced prices on 60% of our 30,000 products. Since our founding, our goal has been to make quality products accessible to consumers at affordable prices. No matter the circumstances, we act with this goal in mind. As in all difficult times, we are taking responsibility now.’
DEFACTO TO FOCUS ON GROWTH ACROSS FIVE CONTINENTS
Sharing that DeFacto is supporting its 15,000 employees with additional payments until the next salary adjustment period, Ateş said, ‘We are a big family. We have overcome all extraordinary situations, including the lockdowns during the pandemic, by drawing strength from each other. To ensure our employees are not affected by economic hardships, we are providing additional payments until the salary adjustment period. With a vision of being a global brand, Turkey’s pride, DeFacto, will focus on growth across five continents.’
